Melody Ahdoot, D.D.S.
Practice Limited to General Dentistry

Dr. Ahdoot is an Instructor of Clinical Dentistry for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Fellows. She graduated in 2005 from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Ahdoot went on to complete a General Practice Residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, Long Island. She is married to Gabriel S. Elihu, M.D.

Courtney H. Chinn, DDS, MPH
Pediatric Dentistry

Dr Chinn is an Assistant Professor of Dentistry at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Dr Chinn received his dental degree from The University of Washington before coming to New York to complete his fellowships in Advanced Education in General Dentistry and Pediatric Dentistry at Columbia University Medical Center as well as his Masters in Public Health at the Mailman School of Public Health. Currently, Dr Chinn’s interests include community-based research, oral health education and prevention, and partnering with local neighborhood organizations to improve the oral health of vulnerable young children and their families.

Dr. Davis-Bell is the Assistant Director at Columbia University Morningside Dental Practice and a clinical instructor in Operative Dentistry. She has practiced dentistry in Jamaica, West Indies and Massachusetts.

Evie Lalla, D.D.S., M.S.
Periodontics and Implant Surgery

Dr. Lalla is currently an Associate Professor of Dental Medicine at Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine. She completed her specialty training in Periodontics in 1997, joined the full time faculty of the Division of Periodontics at Columbia, and has been involved in research, teaching and faculty practice since. Her work has earned international recognition and she is the recipient of prestigious awards, including the A. Rizzo Young Investigator Award from the International Association for Dental Research and the B.C. Borgelt Faculty Advisor Award from the American Dental Association. She has published multiple articles in high impact medical and dental journals and has lectured extensively in the United States and abroad. She provides services in all areas of periodontal and implant therapy.

Margherita Santoro, D.D.S., M.A.

Dr. Margherita Santoro is the Postdoctoral Program Director of the Division of Orthodontics and Associate Professor of Orthodontics at Columbia University College of Medicine.

She has published extensively in international specialty journals, and contributes as a reviewer as well. Dr. Santoro has been a dedicated teacher for almost 20 years. She was in private practice and taught at the University of Perugia in Italy before joining Columbia University.

She is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Santoro is fluent in the Italian and Spanish languages.
